Course Description:

    This course introduces the student to the basic fundamentals of the language:  the sounds of the Spanish alphabet. a foundation in vocabulary, an elementary understanding of grammar and an appreciation of the cultures and attitudes of the Hispanic world.  Reading materials, videos. compact discs and the internet will help to acquaint the student with customs, culture and current events in Spanish-speaking countries.
